I applied for a job with a mid 5 figure salary with benifets located where I lived. Once I had interviewed and been offered the job, I was informed that I would actually be working at their restaurant 40 minutes away. The salary advertised was $14,000 more than what I was actually offered. I stuck with it with the promise of being moved to the the restaurant closer to home, where the ad had led me to believe i’d be working at the whole time, after a training period. After this 8 week period had come and gone I was told they would need me to work at another restaurant located an hour and a half away. With this there was no offered raise or other incentives. Tom and his associates come off as friendly and wanting to help, but My experience with Gecko Hospitality and their client was ultimately not what was advertised, was unfulfilling and set me back in my career by almost a year.
