Genband consists of short-sighted and incapable management and owners. They layoff the technical employees with the highest paid to cut cost and thereby losing all the top talents. Whoever left are under extreme stress of being laid-off in the next round.
Start with dedicated employees, Add a challenging market segment. Then sprinkle-on a quirky but clued-in management team and the result is a surprisingly powerful team which regularly turns roadblocks into opportunities.
Does not invest in R&D or production of parts to keep older gear running. Has been milking the cash cow for waaay to long. Customer won't buy support or maintenance if you can't provide parts 9and they can find them cheaper grey market).
