Skilled Trade
I worked for the old GM as an electrician keeping the line running in tip top shape. They didn’t call it generous motors for nothing, when they needed something they bought it. The old GM had a old mindset management which didn’t change to the market conditions of the day.

Senior credit analyst
Loved the employees over the many years I spent working there. Should allow more work from
Home as a benefit and not a reward. Good opportunities to move up.

Managers were insulting and repressive
The only thing my managers cared about was advancing his own career. They often tried to make himself look good by making his subordinates look bad. They never missed an opportunity to insult or berate someone.
They showed complete disrespect for their subordinates. The division of GM that I worked for was GMAC, the financial division of GM.

Company who cares nothing about people
I wouldn't reccomend they care nothing for the new people they hire in and they will never give them full time jobs with benefits. They hire temps and do not give them bonuses that they were suppose to get after completion of 90 days during contract negotiations. Was lied to by company plus during shut down they take away your time and you have to start back over if your a temp. The health benefits cover nothing if your temp. You don't get a retirement, dental, vision, or anything else. You are used for their benefit 20 jobs a night rotation every hour. Its not worth going through all the trouble of getting on out there when you get nothing back in return. Union doesn't care either. The union needs to step up and help people out.

Great benefits and pay, culture is sub-par
Overall, a great experience and helped pay off student loans quickly. However, advancement opportunities are few and far between. As a result, I left the company.
