Long Hours

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The company has very long hours--your hours are based on your deliveries and they vary based on orders from stores. Your hours tend to be long and the position is very labor intensive.

Very little chance of actually being hired

You work through a in site job agency that way you don't get benefits lots of doing double work for instance order selector pull orders and for the last 2to 3 hours we have to break every single one down and restack it Pay is lousy no Supervison

Pros

Can't think of any

Cons

No raises, no safety precautions besides wearing a face mask no enforce 6-feet rule

Too much work not enough money and most of all zero time with your family no holidays off and sometimes only one day off.

Way too much work for the amount of money you're being paid, they don't pay hourly they pay you by the route so if you take 12 hours to do a route good luck but very rare most times 14 to 16 hrs especially when you're new.

It can be a lot of work at times. If everyone works together it can get done in a timely manner.

The job was ok! Sometimes the hours would be long. You start at 6am to whenever, when your team has completed all the products that needed to be picked for the day. When you have an issue with something or someone, they basically tell you, you are the problem. The management team are lost in the sauce.

Pros

Pay, sometimes they treat everyone for lunch.

Cons

Management is the problem! Their was a lot of favoritism.

Good place

Pay is nice people are nice routes aren’t bad, bonuses are good. Management is somewhat understanding. Night shift and load and inload is all you have to deal with

Don't do it

Place is a joke. It's all about numbers. Lots of false advertising. They love to lie and will throw you to the wolves. Management can be childish spread gossip/ rumors and run off great employees.

a lot of teamwork / great benefits /

I have been here 15 years and still going, great benefits and pay increases. I have seen a lot come and go but real good teamwork in Portland makes it special. once you figure out a pattern the job becomes a whole lot easier.

The best day was leaving this place for good

I did not enjoy my time here. Management talks down to you. You are just another number. Manager literally told me to my face drivers are a dime a dozen and I can be replaced tomorrow.

Fast pace, hard work but very doable

Once you get the hang of things it becomes quite easy. You have to meet your required daily productivity goals. But they give you a learning grace period so u don't have to stress yourself out. Fellow employees are very helpful in making u succeed.

Pros

Saturday's Off, frequent pay raises

Cons

Heavy lifting, on feet whole shift, start time early as 2am

This company is a joke, they are contracted to deliver for a convenience store as a logistics company. They dont now what logistics is.

its a 24//7/365 job. Its based on seniority. If you value family, weekends off, a LIFE do not apply. Also they average pay is a bit off. Again the best pay goes to the senior drivers because the routes are bid on every 6 months and picking is based on tenure.

Pros

Pay

Cons

everything else you can imagine

Its a job

Mandatory overtime. Be prepared to stay up to 12 hours. As manager states "no one leaves until everyone is done" . So you have to find something to look busy even if your work is done. Managment really has no clue what is going on. Pay always short. Be sure to wear real warm clothes because the company no longer supplies uniforms. You will have to work in the "cold" room. Only 2 breaks in a 8 to 10 hour shift.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

2 breaks, long hours, wack managment

Lots of consistent work, pretty solid pay, quality benefits.

Very consistent work, able to be productive, just be ready for the work schedules as a low seniority driver. Also, parking spaces are very very tight.

Pros

Pay, benefits

Cons

Schedules, Seniority Rules.

Yes, go for it!

Compensation is very good but you must come prepared to work. As of today you get an average of 1K a week after taxes. If you have dependents claimed you get less deducted for taxes. In one month you pocket yourself 4K after taxes minimum. This comes at a price though, its a fast pace environment and you must complete your deliveries by a certain time. Usually you begin to work near sunset and you finish before sunrise but once again you get compensated very good for that sacrifice. They pay every week on Fridays. You also know in advanced how much you will get paid for the route that night, this way you can calculate all your money for the week. This job as a driver comes down to you being organized, being discipline at home and getting your sleep so you can come to work and get the route done on time. You must be on your "A " game every night for that night's route. 4 Stars because it's overnight, weekends and holidays.

Pros

The weekly BIG check and dispatchers that help you during the night.

Cons

Work weekends and Holidays, Work overnight

Great and active place to work. It’s hard work, but you’ll be making money here.

The pay is good here. You’ll be making 1200-2000 a week here. Mostly 6-9 hour shifts. It’s hard to get days off here, you’ll be working 6 days a week. Which can be frustrating. Especially with this driver shortage. This job is not for everyone, so make sure you have good work ethic and not afraid of any labor or else you’re not going to make it here.

Pros

Good pay, teamsters, great management

Cons

You’ll be working weekends, Hard to get days off, night shift work, Too much paperwork, Union reps never around

Managers

Very good and knowledgeable Managers. The OM and GM are also great people. Good place to work if you want to make money and stay fit!!! Great warehouse staff sometimes but they run short of help and have alot to do.

Pros

Flexible work schedule

Cons

Physically work

great place to work at.

Good company to work for. Except there training is no good. They also have Camera Monitoring systems in there truck. which was strange to me. If you are brand new to truck driving do not work here. Other than that not a bad place to work at.

Pros

good place to work.

Cons

training is no good if you are new to truck driving.

Nothing bad to say

For an overnight job this one is not too bad, the job details are fairly easy, mostly driving, and it's fairly enjoyable. The work isn't too hard as long as you maintain you duties there aren't any issues. Management doesn't breath down your neck if you do everything right and next to never bothers you with anything menial. However, expect to be asked to work extra and realize it is an overnight job. The team is pretty supportive.

Pros

Decent pay for a decent job

Cons

Pay and benefits could use some work
