They have gotten much better. HR is quite hectic when they take over contracts in many buildings at once though.
The one nice thing about genesis is they have flexible schedules. There are no set times you have to come in by. However, that being said, your hours all depend on what your caseload is like. If your building is low on census, you will have a shorter day. If the census is high, you can be at a full day. Very rarely with very being the emphasis will you get overtime. If you are at your standard hours and there is someone else that may not be at their standard hours, you may be asked to not work and and let the other person work to get their hours.
They ask basic question like no you no hip precaution, sterna precaution, are you flexible, are you a team player, can you work with difficult people
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Genesis Rehab Services a better place to work?
More job security. Thanks for staff flexibility and kudos such as gift cards, ability to take vacation time earned. Not just harping on what stuff you do that is not to their liking.
They love new grads because they can tell them what to do. They used to be great for mentoring new grads, but he environment has changed and now the expectations for new grads are very unrealistic.
