The GEODIS Women´s Network (GWN) is an inclusive Network focused on improving gender balance in GEODIS Managerial teams and inspiring women to reach their full potential.

“My time with the GEODIS Leadership Development Program was invaluable. I worked in four completely different areas in a span of two years and surprised myself with the field I ended up enjoying most and ultimately choosing for final placement. My biggest fear coming into the workforce was being treated like an “intern”, but at GEODIS that couldn’t be further from reality. Every team embraces LDPs when we walk in for our 6-month placement because they have experienced the caliber of work we deliver and the impact we can have with fresh ideas and a short runway. I have worked with Fortune 500 companies, presented to high-profile customers, managed a team of employees, traveled the US and Latin America for projects, spearheaded software utilization and developed reports that have made it to our HQ in Paris for review. I utilize the skills I learned in my rotations every day in my full-time role. To say that this program is career changing, empowering, and rewarding is an understatement.”

“ I graduated from the GEODIS Leadership Development Program in December of 2019. After my experience, I do not think that anything else that other companies in our industry have to offer parallels the LDP experience at GEODIS. The exposure to multiple facets of our business in such an intimate way has equipped me to immediately succeed and progress in my role as a Design Engineer. This coupled with the leadership training directly from C-level executives down results in the preparedness to lead and be led in ways that will benefit our personal and career development. After graduating from the Leadership Development Program at GEODIS, I truly do believe that the sky’s the limit!

During my time in the program, I had the advantage of rotating through four, six-month rotations in our Contract Logistics line of business: Warehouse Operations, Design Engineering, Project Management, and Continuous Improvement Engineering. “

• During my time in Warehouse Operations, I had the opportunity to learn the GEODIS Way at our Allbirds facility before spending time helping start up our Black Rifle Coffee account in Mt. Juliet, TN where I lead a team of 10 teammates in our Outbound picking and packing process.

• My stint in Design Engineering entailed assisting implementation work at our Everlane facility in Kutztown, PA to ensure a successful go-live leading up to Peak season, among working on winning other potential business opportunities.

• My six months in Project Management found me taking charge on other projects as a project manager, as well as leading the internal effort to create our new project intake process.

• During my last rotation in Continuous Improvement Engineering, I had the opportunity to assist the Northeast region of our network by participating in layout redesigns, Lean/Kaizen workshops, warehouse management system functionality implementations, among other initiatives. “

The high level of automation in the account allowed me to continue to build on my technical skills I learned in my engineering rotations while I learned how to build and develop an operations team. Over the course of the two-year program, the cross-functional development, networking opportunities, and mentoring program have given me a unique advantage as I begin my career in logistics. I certainly attribute my success in my current operations role to my experience in the Leadership Development program.”
