Great co-workers with drive
Organ Recovery Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Itasca, ILJanuary 16, 2018
Great relationships built with co-workers. Unfortunately burn occurs very fast. Schedule is hard to juggle. Always short staffed and would rather pay overtime instead of hiring and retaining employees so that work/life balance would be greater.

Save and enhance a lot of lives
Hardest part was talking to families right after they lost a loved one
Most enjoyable was knowing that you gave families comfort to know that part of their loved one saved a life and will live on

Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) –  425 Spring Lake DriveAugust 22, 2016
A typical work day is filled with different projects. Had to meet deadlines constantly, keep track of work done, provide administrative assistance as needed, organize files and archive as needed, consolidate reports at the end of the month to ensure all incoming data is accurate, and be part of saving someones life. Co-workers are enjoyable to be around. Hardest part is keeping cool is such a high pressured, deadline driven environment. Enjoyable part meeting those deadlines and exceeding company expectations.
Pros
Flex time, good health care benefit, and great co-workers.
Cons
High pressure, overworked, and under staffed.

Trainer (Former Employee) –  Itasca, ILApril 18, 2013
The shifts are 12hours and the operation is 24/7. In the time I worked there I learned that working in a caring profession is very rewarding. Co-workers pull together to accomplish goals and fullfil the mission. Speaking with families in crisis is very hard but it is also the most rewarding aspect of the job. Speaking with families in crisis and seeing how generous and selfless they can be is quite humbling.
Pros
excellent benefits package
Cons
12 hour shifts are extremely long
