High paced

Answered - Nursing (Former Employee) - Sacaton, AZ

Report answer

Busy. Members like to use ambulances as taxis to town and the ER should read urgent care, not ER. The hospital is inept to handle emergencies, refuse to admit patients so they send out masses of patients to other hospitals.

Department specific but lots of ailing patients due to obesity, diabetes and alcoholism in a tiny town with nothing to do. The hospital is a place to congregate and socialize.

It is a very fast paced environment in behavioral health. Lots of crisis work on a daily basis with several clients on your caseload. Be prepared to use your trauma skills.
