direct care workers work very hard with little support/ compensation
Case Manager (Former Employee) – Middletown, CT – January 5, 2015
This company has a great mission statement and plans for their clients that looks good on paper however their day to day operations prove oppressive to the direct care worker. Management throughout the agency has free reign to ruin direct care workers lives and make their work experience miserable. When this is brought to Union and human resources attention nothing is done to help. Employees are consistently made to feel they are not valued. Benefits are poor. Programs are all filthy, dangerous and uncomfortable to work in.
Nurse Case Manager (Former Employee) – Middletown, CT – July 16, 2019
Management has little to no respect for licensed staff, they treat unlicensed staff like indentured servants. Staff care about clients and that is only reason they work at Gilead, most staff are constantly looking for jobs outside of Gilead!
