Just your run of the mill restaurant job. Could be a lot more organized like some of the competition as when things get busy pizza wait time goes up with virtually no communication between the front and the kitchen. Like most restaurants the turnover rate is quite high and the managers are quite spineless when it comes to dealing with corporate.

Pros

50% off any meal at any corporate location after 90 days, pretty much any front of the house position is tipped

Cons

Long hours, poor communication, managers will never go to bat for employees when corporate gets involved

Do your job and you’ll get treated very well.

If you’re doing your job, learning, applying yourself, and communicating well, you’ll be treated very very good. The managers here respect and recognize hard workers. Great work environment.

Best job ever!!

It is always busy at both Giordano's locations. Everybody works as a team. The Owner and General Manager is amazing and there is money to be made. The ONLY reason I no longer work there is because I moved to be close to my family <3

The management is overall bad, which trickles down the ladder, and it shows.

The company will fail before it succeeds. The management doesn't know how to lead. It felt like it was falling apart day one when it opened. They fired their GM within 3 months of opening. Giordano's kept sending their higher up managers to come into the store to 'straighten' it out, and all they did was stand around and observe. The trainers they brought in for the grand opening to train their employees, most were doing the work for the employees instead of training, because they were so shorthanded. So when those people left, nobody knew what to do. And some trainers came and started sleeping with the entry level employees.

Pros

Discount on pizza.

Cons

They don't make it well, usually.

Fun work place if you're in college

As a phone clerk, you answer phone calls. Cash guests out and greet them. Something I learned is being social with customers at all times and handling a sad/mad customer. This job makes you come out of your comfort zone. The hardest part of the job is during rush hour. Other than that is a pretty chill place to work.

Pros

50% off Giordano's pizza and free soda/coffee during work

Cons

not many hours

Productive evironment for growth

A typical day of work is productive and busy. I've learned customer service skills in the forms of patience and understanding. Management was understanding in situations that require a second point of view.

Pros

Fun environment

Flexibility

There is good flexibility in here but the pay is completely related to the tourism in the area so that could be good and bad. Also some tourist don’t know about tipping in America so that could be tough

Driver

Awesome place to work, especially if you’re a teen looking for a first job. I started as a Cashier in 2017 and now it’s 2020 and I’ve learned 10 different positions that are needed in all restaurants. The community is great too.

Good tips, but management makes it stressful and at times toxic

You’ll make good tips which is the main reason people stick around. But there’s a constant loop of a new hires, something little setting management off, resulting it an unnecessary fight, and firing. Not ran well at all, no real leadership. Constantly understaffed due to constant firings.

Pros

Good tips

Cons

Poor management

Super chill and positive environment

Managers never put you down and are there to help when you need it. If you mess up they don't lecture you, they help you fix the problem. If you have a question coworkers are happy to answer them and everyone works as a team. If you need help, just ask. Very open communication environment and I can be myself!

Pros

The location, the vibe when working, discounts on food, good money, kitchen bumps good music which keeps the vibe positive!

Cons

The clientele can be "iffy" at times (but that's with any restaurant, especially in a tourist destination)

Decent job

It’s an old fashioned idea being ramrodded through what feels like a dot com gang. They were decent people. I was allowed to negotiate shifts a little and get coverage sometimes.

Best Pay for the Job, Management Has Some Issues

I worked for the southside location in 2018. Loved the people I worked with except for one. Unfortunately that one was buddy-buddy with the management and that caused some major issues. The pay was tops for the area, drivers paid over $10/hr for road and off road hours plus tips. fast paced, as any pizza place is. If it weren't for the one co worker and his friends up the chain of command, I'd recommend the place in a heartbeat.

Fun work place toxic environment

That place is solely based and ran on favoritism. Managers do nothing. Employees run the whole business.Employees are allowed to pick and choose who they give hours too. There's a girl who's a manager right now who makes the most mistakes in that whole restaurant.Managers are men. they're all misogynistic, sexist, egotistical. they sleep with their employees.

Terrible

Apply here if you wanna work your bum off only to have your hours (and every single one of your coworkers hours) reduced to 1-2 days a week (4/5 hour shift working for tips) without notice. They overhire and then don’t re-balance the employee schedules with the new hires and just under-compensate. The managers contribute to a hostile work environment and will profile you based on appearance. They will train you for 7 days in a row with no tips while your trainer slacks off, chats, and smokes in the back and you will be taking HIS tables, receiving tips off those tables, and be forced to hand your hard earned money over to the trainer (all of it. Definitely apply here if you like working hard one week and when the schedule comes out, they just decide not to put you on for that week (see: overhire) and get no explanation or resolution for that. I sure hope you don’t have kids or a family, or even bills to pay, because they will forget to put you on the schedule and to make up for it.....you just won’t work and won’t get paid. Terrible management. Gross dining area. Bug infestation in the far right booths against the wall. Avoid it if you have self respect.

Pros

None

Cons

Very little hours, no training benefits, no employee cohesion, workplace drama, inefficient management
