Work & Life Balance

Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in Atlanta, GA

Solid inclusive organization with good pipeline.
A typical day is what you would expect with any primary care focused sales position. GSK prides itself on innovation, performance and trust with its stakeholders. GSK has world class products with great R&D. Workplace culture depends heavily on first and second line manager. Management/marketing can be very misdirected as to what constitutes successful sales encounters/outcomes. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with good teammates and having great products. The hardest part of the job is continually adapting to sales models which many have little faith in. Overall good company, great people, great flexibility lower pay than other companies.

Production Electrician
Great place to work. Indoor, temp controlled, lunch room. Overtime varies depending on the season. 40 hour minimum. The 2nd shift maintenance boss is easy to work with if you need time off or have an emergency.

fast paced enviroment
fast paced enviroment , stressful everytime , besides team work is bad when you are starting in the position , management is bad , benefits are only good of the rest no suggest this company
Engineer Assistant in Memphis, TN

Need to have someone/group monitoring day to day operations. The place operated like a commune. GSK has a good model/idea in place, however nothing is done to enforce the rules. The propaganda that is circulated is ideal, but if you are not a permanent employee, you are treated with absolute discrimination. I believe the consistent issues/problems were a direct reflection of the environment that was being nurtured.

Little chance for advancement
At gsk marietta, hourly employees are rarely promoted into management or salaried roles. If a promotion is achieved, it is usually in production for an off shift position. Consequently, there exist a culture of us versus them. No diversity in leadership roles in the production area.
