Yes after 20 years with this company the expectations are unrealistic. I had 5 clinical trials assigned to me at one time and they were all managed by different vendors. It feels like you are working for a clinical resource organization instead of a sponsor. Each dept works in a silo and initiates new processes to fix one process not taking into consideration the whole company wide repercussions.

New CEO in the process of cleaning up mess left by prior CEO typical large pharma atmosphere where upper management makes decisions but they have no idea how things actually work. After regulatory findings there is a reactive atmosphere where they put patches on everything. This creates a very frustrating way to work which leads to systems not talking to each other. Current environment is to outsource outsource outsource. Only thing you do is oversee outsourced work and don’t get to use your medical training the way you studied for. Don’t recommend working here unless you like overseeing offshored work. No longer do you get be involved in the clinical trials but are just making sure offsourced work is getting done.
