Highly stressful sales environment where every man/woman is for themselves
Written by Senior Sales Executive (Former Employee) from New York, NY on December 15, 2017
GlobalData started off as a very small boutique research firm and in order to gain market share one had to utilize extremely aggressive sales tactics to hit your numbers each month. Management not only micromanaged, but used the threat of termination to "motivate" the sales force. The company has since changed for the better, or so I'm told, but I believe - more ... old habits die hard. - less
ProsHighly competitive and cut-throat environment helps develop great sales skills
ConsLow base salary, questionable commission structure, stressful, intense micromanagement, no job security
