The individuals I was privileged enough to work with were supportive, friendly, and helpful. While I was learning their computer systems everyone was willing to help educate me in ways to make my job more efficient. I enjoyed the atmosphere at work and the fact that it was close to my home. I wish they didn't have to down size their staff as I lost my job. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Nice, competitive place to work but job security is not good.
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor (Current Employee) – Selma, AL – November 9, 2018
Nice, competitive place to work but job security is not good. I love the challenge of learning something new and doing the job to the best of my ability. I will always give 100% in whatever I do and will always be prompt. When ever there is a problem, I look at all aspects before I make a decision and i'm not afraid to make a decision.
I liked the job, but disagree with coparate decisions.

A silliciate metal producer,is a very hot and protienally dangerously enviorment. But is a safety oriented work place, and acompetative pay scale higher than other companies in the same area.Swang shirfts, with everyone working as a team, including the supervisors. The hardest part of the job, is it a hot job year round. But it is a good job, with good pay.

safety walk daily inspect equipment made sure they guys had water and was hydrated working around the furnance. First indepth experience with ADE and EPA. Management was suportive Training was the most enjoyable part of the week Plant closed.
test materials on a daily bass such as metals that come out of the furnace and out of the shipping department. Test the raw materials such as coal, steel turnings, gravel, and millscale. I learned how to run a xray, carbon sulfur, oxygen machines. How to work in S.A.P. and how to use Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook on a faster level. My co-worker were great to work with everybody worked together to get everything that we needed to do done. The hardest part of the drive i would have to say was the drive to work which is 45-50 mins. The management are a great group of people. The most enjoyable part of the job is checking the quality of the metal and the raw materials.
