Goldman Sachs is an ok place to work but if you want to advance in your career then you need to be in NYC. Sure they have policies that say you cannot avoid promoting someone just because they are somewhere else, but that cannot be enforced. I have seen this happen many times and have seen people leave the firm for this very reason.
ProsDynamic place
ConsCareer stagnation, low salaries
