Sales (Former Employee) –  Colonie, NYAugust 23, 2013
Typical day at Goldsteins involved going to the morning meeting each morning, setting up the cars in the parking lot to the bosses standards, then as customers come in each person would walk out to meet and greet them and go through the "road to sale" till the car was purchased.
I learned how to overcome a lot of objections and I also learned how to handle any type of customer face to face with a polite and professional manner.
My management was great and treated everyone with respect as long as you were doing your job the right way and not goofing off.
My co-workers were awesome and understanding for anything.
The hardest part of the job was working 50-60+ hours a week and still not being sure if you had a car sold or not.
The most enjoyable part was after all your hard work and the customer purchases the car and youre both happy.
Pros
Free lunches once a week, Great pay, Great benefits
Cons
Lots of hours

Receptionist/Cashier (Former Employee) –  Albany, NYJune 19, 2012
people come and go here so quickly. Im not trying to be bitter, I am only stating the facts. Lowest pay for employees here. No room for advancement even when they say there is.
They say you will get a raise after 90 days- thats a lie also.
Lots of swearing in the service Dept.
Great Salesman, I have to say!
Otherwise, Its upto you. Solid Job, just poor business.
Pros
solid work hours
Cons
treated unfairly
