Front of House Employee (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHJune 12, 2018
I was hired on at Dublin for about 2 months, earlier in March, the manager told me that she would cross train me as a bartender and a server. I had applied for a bartending job and was under the impression that I would get trained relatively quickly. However, she placed me as a food runner and when I asked about getting bartending training, she said she was going to keep me running food because she "didn't see any other fit for me" which I'll try not to take offensively. Only she had hired a 19-year-old (I'm 22) and put her behind the bar when she has as much if not less experience than me. This is when I realized that she didn't want me behind the bar, not because I wasn't ready or because she wanted to train me effectively, but because drunk old men weren't going to ogle me. The others were friendly I enjoyed working with some of the kitchen staff, and the work wasn't too hard, but after weeks of little to no communication from the manager about pretty much everything, a filthy kitchen and bar space, confusing table placements and layouts, severe understaffing, and frustrating co-workers; I decided enough was enough and told my manager I wanted to turn in my two weeks, she didn't schedule me at all the following week, so I'm assuming it's a passive-aggressive goodbye. Good riddance
Pros
free golf, mostly cool co-workers
Cons
poor managment, filthy work environment

Banquet Set-ups Manager / Bartender (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHMay 4, 2017
Banquet set-up was very run of the mill. Bartending was with the typical crowd of golfers and the occasional event. Culture was the typical mix of part time help with a few full time employees. Great if you are looking for a summer job!
Pros
People, flexible scheduling
Cons
Gossips, Office politics drama

Greenskeeper (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHFebruary 25, 2015
There is a lot of benefit to working here. The people are all really nice and the hours are good if you want to have a second job. And there are many benefits such as free golf. I worked as as greenskeeper so I had to get there very early but I was done every day by about two pm. I enjoyed my time working at the Golf Club of Dublin

Great job that pays well and is fun at the same time. As long as you're working hard and getting done what needs to be, there is no problem.
