Standard office - Nothing extraordinary
Logistics Specialist (Former Employee) –  Waller, TXJuly 3, 2018
This office is your standard office. Break room, cafeteria, less than stellar coffee. The company is large so advancement is difficult. Hours are 8-5.
Pros
Steady job. Not much versatility.
Cons
Very mundane

Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  houston, txJune 27, 2018
the company overall was great, the working conditions could be better being that some workers have to work in an "oven" thats filled with flying fiber glass that literally stabs at one's skin and its extremely irritating im surprised some people stayed at this cpmany as long as they did. the other employers are great and the social enviroment of the job is great
Pros
food trucks come by if u don't bring ur lunch
Cons
kind of harsh working environments

I didn’t get the same hours every night something went wrong almost every night with the machines. The trainers weren’t training correctly. The factory was not sanitary or safe no matter if you had safety gear on or not. Very smal working space.

Over all good place to work. Managers were good to work with. They do have a major problem with brand recognition as there is no marketing to the end user.

Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Fayetteville, TNJune 5, 2018
My experience in Goodman was short but sweet. The work environment was high paced, yet very stable. Work was done quickly with quotas to be filled hourly, but was not overwhelming. Management was very involved in day to day activities and the pay was well worth the physical labor.
Pros
Great pay and quick days
Cons
Very physically taxing

Depends on who you are or if your parents work for the company
HR Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Waller, TXMay 29, 2018
Work environment depends on the department you are in and who you are. Experiences for everyone is different. Very high turn over rate in manufacturing and assembly. The company culture does not extend to all departments, they tend to have go to people when it comes to events. If you do sign up to volunteer you will be given a job that you didn't sign up for, because they have their favorites. Nepotism is very high. Chances given to some that others are not afforded and people are aware of the unfair practices and no one does anything about it. People in charge are very passive and do not address mistakes or issue of everyone only the lower workers on the totem pole are reprimanded even if its not their fault. Promotions are NOT given on merit and work done. You are not made to feel like you are part of the team.
Pros
If you live off of 290 or 99 good location
Cons
Nepotism, communication, benefits and training

Extreme Micro-Management
Office Personnel (Current Employee) –  Waller, TXMay 22, 2018
Directors and Vice Presidents in this company don't allow department managers, who are their direct reports to make autonomous decisions for the operations of their own departments and teams. Instead the directors, but more especially the VP's (some worse than others), want to step out of their roles and micro-manage every single person that reports to department managers, rather than allowing the managers to do their jobs. It's frustrating for managers, and is very frustrating for the employees who report to a department manager, as you never know whose direction to heed.

I wouldn't recommend this company to any job seeker out there, as there is little room for professional growth, and absolutely no chance that you will ever earn enough trust to make decisions within your assigned role in this company, unless you rise to Executive management. My advise? Don't waste your time and talent with this company, because you won't be appreciated. The HR department and CEO of this company are very passive to actions of VP's and directors, and seemingly never address the serious mistakes and terrible behavior of his executives, even though their mistakes are to the detriment of the company. It's very sad, because this company has the potential to be great; the manufacturing facility is impressive and massive, and employs thousands of people in a geographic area with few good jobs. But if you don't have great people running the show, then this facility is just building, and this job becomes just another dead end job, and the hard working people on the ground doing the real work
more... suffer the consequences. Plus, don't apply here if you don't enjoy sitting in a low wall cubicle with all of the many visual and noise distractions all day, as most cubes have heavy foot traffic walking by all day. It's impossible to concentrate at my desk.  less
Pros
Competative pay for office workers, medical insurance, vacation, nice facility
Cons
Extreme micro-management, very low pay for factory workers, HR department is ineffective, open concept office with low wall cubicles that promote visual and noise distractions
