It does vary from district to district and what the offense is but I've met plenty of people who have been there done that, myself included and it doesn't prevent you from getting a chance. Chance being the key word. The job market is tight in our area which leads to alot of job hopping but if you prove yourself at work it certainly gets you noticed.

It all depends on management. The location I worked at actually preferred staff with a long list of theft charges. Yes, come in for court ordered community service, leave with a snug position as head of loss prevention. If they hired honest people, that would be a threat to managements personal gain. Hopefully, there are some good people left. Sadly, it's few and far between.

They just hired me in Las Vegas. I have a nonviolent felony, but it was 10 years ago in another state. Some positions require a drug test and background.. Some none at all
