Short n sweet better monitoring of employee health n health care. Setting up better training facilities for employees too learn and know proper means of physical training . such as gym opportunities n training in dietary n food intake . offer employees free or reduced memberships to Gyms . training classes in CPR and other life saving skill. Soly for the purpose that not all employees work in a office many work directly with the public ie: truck drivers truck loading personnel cashiers stock people warehouse technicians grounds keepers ECT. This is the most important and honest answer and i believe Goodwill would greatly profit from ... Simplify the prices on entire items.. it's all donated so it needs to be cheap. All of one style of clothing like T-Shirts, Shorts, etc need to be one price for the entire syle of items. All shirts one price and all shorts are one price. ECT. More importantly prices of 2nd hand clothes need to be lower than new items. last Present the clothes better, present the store better by organization and cleanliness. And continue making discount days a big deal. People will buy more and donate more this will be great for business and will boosts shoppers moral and make Goodwill the BEST thrift store.

I will start with the staff first i would want to know their feelings working at Goodwill. . then i will put a box outside the office for the staff suggestion re. work, and advice for the store to make is more progressive, and open it at the end of the day so i can read and take action on it.. make them feel that they are important too, because whether we like it or not the employee is the back bone of the store. Let's be open to suggestions and criticism as wel,l it will help us to do more .do not forget the respect that the staff deserve., acknowledge them when they do good. and the most important thing is the open communication, it should be there One have to communicate to prevent miscommunication.. and f course be courteous, smile and great one another. after all we are ike a one big happy family. because now, our work place is our second home, and we sure want it to be successful!.........the rest qill follow!

A good manager is hands on, slow to anger, open door policy, morning huddels, rotates, tesches and learns. A smile goes a long way.

I would check the donation bins that come from other goidwill stores to ensure that the merchandise is up to standards for selling.
More times then not,I've experienced bins of merchandise from other stores that I'm tasked with sorting and pricessing, and it's either filthy dirty items you cannot clean, straight up junk that has no value at all.Or stuff that they have already salvaged themselves because the prices are still on them. Some bins have stuff just dumped in them so that when you try removing something, half the load spills out. That or you have to dig your way to the bottom where their is finally something you can process. The rest being salvage
