Proud to know i was a head mechanic for goodyear but disappointing in the way things were handled
Corp HQ position. Management throughout many departments display a high lack of knowledge and pure disregard for current proven practices. Besides solid pay, no positives. Most are excited to leave and others resent those who do. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want to be part of a progressive company, where your experiences/skills are valued.
How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Goodyear? What are the steps along the way?
Depends on the plant your applying for each place is different
Personality conflicts between coworkers. Teamwork is a real problem at times. Some policies GOODYEAR puts into practice makes doing your job more difficult.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Goodyear a better place to work?
I’d start with revamp of customer greeting process, set a base salary for techs, reset the work flow process & pricing
