Staff not very knowledgeable and does not show any commitment to completion of tasks. Expectations and company standards lacks communication amongst the company.
Asst. food Service Director in Hampton, VA
I have been in food service for over 20 years. Worst job I ever had. No organizational skills for a company of its size. You are nit trained you have to learn as you go. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My experience at the company was not great. You feel like a slave delivering food to the president of the university and his wife. You have to shop for them and cater to their every need. It seems the students should come first not the faculty. Best thing I did was leave this company. If you want to feel like a slave than this job is for you. Remember you will be taking food to the big house. No EXAGGERATION. Management team in Georgia (headquarters) were just as bad benefits were to expensive to afford. This was just an all around mess. Good luck on your Job interview. Everything they say is false!!!!!!!!!!!
Area Manager in Atlanta, GA
Great place to work for staff that are beginning in the job market. This is a job that builds discipline, character, and provides directions for young adults.
don’t look for any opportunity here they eventually turn you into something your not as soon as you enter you can hear the chatter of unhappy employees. Mainly talking about the unprofessional gourmet service office at Hampton University. Currently being called the white collar crooks. Everyone is basically family in the food service office . If you get any complaints from anyone related to top management for gourmet services they will make you fell like your absolutely nothing, eventually pushing you out the door yourself. while working here I have seen people come in go as fast as a week. very slave like you’ll see a lot of management and employees run to the food service office to tell any new gossip he say she say could potentially get you fired. I don’t see why corporate hasn’t stepped in yet.
Cashier/Customer Service in Hampton, VA
The people I work with was helpful when needed. Business days were busy and keep a good pace. The work culture was fun and busy meeting new people in all walks of life. The hardest part was not beeping able to let students without proper indentation in who attended the school. The most enjoyable part is meeting new people and watching the students who finished on time.
