Catering Server (Former Employee) –  Watertown, CTSeptember 2, 2019
Job was just boring. Management paid you in cash the first month to my your tax returns less .they pay 12$ an hour to servers but give them only about 20 hours a week.

Fun but sometimes stressful
server/caterer (Former Employee) –  Oakville, CTApril 7, 2019
Fun place to work and loved the people I worked with but long hours and a lot of standing with minimal sitting. You never know when the parties are going to end and the servers do not usually see the tips that are left for them.
Pros
Provide food
Cons
On your feet for a long time

Great venue and great place to work
Banquet Server on call (Former Employee) –  Oakville, CTJuly 10, 2017
I only got to work for the villa when they needed and extra banquet server or if they were short staffed. However their staff was very welcoming and it was nice to work for them. Their venue is stunning and food is top notch. I would also advise this venue to any couple looking for their wedding in that area.
Pros
Very sweet staff, nice side job to have
Cons
A little unorganized with food orders

Server (Current Employee) –  Watertown, CTFebruary 10, 2016
I love working with people, I always learn new ways to please every customer, since each person is different. Co-workers and managers are reasonable and fair. There is no difficult part of the job when knowing what doing. Every part of the job is enjoyable.

Great place to start out your career
Pantry Cook (Current Employee) –  Oakville, CTFebruary 19, 2013
I usually work on the weekends sometimes every other week because it's a banquet hall. I think it is a great job to start out your career. Every body there is so helping and we all work together. My boss is very considerate of my school hours and everything else. I usually do a lot of prep work like cutting vegetables, herbs, etc. One of my biggest jobs is also salad prep.
Pros
free lunches is one of the pros, great experience, and considerate boss
Cons
short breaks, not enough hours
