Management has favoritism
Table Games Dealer (Former Employee) –  Traverse City, MIJanuary 10, 2019
Long term employees are rude to new employees. Favoritism per each supervisor/manager. Working nights/weekends/holidays is really hard on the job/life balance. Almost impossible to get those types of days off. They have black out days every weekend in some departments for summer hours. So if you have to call in due to be sick even, you get two points. The point system is horrible! People who have been working there 15 years or more still work nights/weekends. Just not realistic. Table games is falling apart. They want more people to work but it kills the tip rate. Which is how dealers make their money, tips. Hear say is a problem there. Unnecessary drama. Management allows players to talk derogatory and inappropriate towards employees. Don’t work here unless you wanna be depressed/sick all the time from the smoke/germs of this nasty environment.

The managers are cold and uncaring. It's all about the money here and what they can get you to do regardless of safety and pay. I wouldn't recommend anyone work here. Very disappointing that people have to deal with unsafe working conditions here.

Management doesn't like people who fight write ups. Hours was okay and benefits was okay. Be prepared for unnecessary drama. Be prepared to travel to both casinos.

Housekeeping (Former Employee) –  Williamsburg, MIDecember 2, 2018
This place is a joke, the manager has favoritism towards certain people, shell try to frame you to get you fired, when you bust your butt there it's not celebrated gt treated poorly. I used to work there and the pay is lower than low when working 40+ hours not getting home till 930 10 PM. They dont care about your well being, your health, or your mentality. Shell just tell yo to get over it save yourself and your time dont waste your time or energy on this place.

Pit Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Williamsburg, MINovember 12, 2018
It is a good place to get a start but work life balance can be difficult. Management could use a little updating but they are working on it. Enjoyed most interactions with customers and fellow employees. Benefits are great.

Slot Attendant, Lead Attendant and supervisor (Former Employee) –  Williamsburg, MI 49690February 8, 2018
When I started at Turtle Creek Casino it was a fun filled environment with great employees and just getting started. I liked the job as it was customer friendly and a positive atmosphere. Then a lot of management places took place and things changed as did the business. Employees jobs got eliminated and favoritism set in. I became a manager and tried to keep everyone equal as my boss had his favorites and it was causing problems and I remained a supervisor until they made changes a year later and I was moved back to working the floor.I helped install machines and set up the new casinos gaming floor and was laid off shortly after.

The benefit package is a great incentive for those with families. The fee is weekly and very fair with great coverage. There is always room for advancement.

Poor work/life balance
Server/Bartender (Former Employee) –  Williamsburg, MIOctober 12, 2017
The atmosphere at Turtle Creek Casino is miserable. Employees who have worked at the casino for long periods of time treat new hires poorly. Management has the attitude that personal obligations, including children don't matter and they make it extremely tough to maintain a balanced home life. Many departments follow federal guidelines in implementing breaks, but some departments allow for no breaks at all. Many employees are treated as subhumans. Managers implement discipline as they see fit, sometime in direct violation with HR policies, yet they receive no disciplinary action.
Pros
Many hours available for employees to work
Cons
Terrible management, poorly implemented HR policies, unflexible, uncaring
