Slot Attendant, Lead Attendant and supervisor (Former Employee) – Williamsburg, MI 49690 – February 8, 2018
When I started at Turtle Creek Casino it was a fun filled environment with great employees and just getting started. I liked the job as it was customer friendly and a positive atmosphere. Then a lot of management places took place and things changed as did the business. Employees jobs got eliminated and favoritism set in. I became a manager and tried to keep everyone equal as my boss had his favorites and it was causing problems and I remained a supervisor until they made changes a year later and I was moved back to working the floor.I helped install machines and set up the new casinos gaming floor and was laid off shortly after.
Server/Bartender (Former Employee) – Williamsburg, MI – October 12, 2017
The atmosphere at Turtle Creek Casino is miserable. Employees who have worked at the casino for long periods of time treat new hires poorly. Management has the attitude that personal obligations, including children don't matter and they make it extremely tough to maintain a balanced home life. Many departments follow federal guidelines in implementing breaks, but some departments allow for no breaks at all. Many employees are treated as subhumans. Managers implement discipline as they see fit, sometime in direct violation with HR policies, yet they receive no disciplinary action.
