Give senior citizens the opportunity to at least talk to Human Resource. Have completed numerous resumes and were never acknowledged which is probably age discrimination. Senior citizens are good dependable well trained workers and have much to offer.
There are many Director, managers and supervisors that have been “grandfathered” in from former facilities and this does not create a chance for new ideas and better culture within departments. It’s sad to say but some are stuck in their ways and there is lack of an updated and more efficient management style. Health care is ever changing and evolving with this type of management it will not evolve due to resistance.
Get some experienced nurses especially in leadership roles
