Job takes thinking. Safty being a big issue. company was good to work for. Plenty of room for additional training and advancement. Daily job tasks were laid out, and accomplished with out hassle.

Good place to work as long as you like the guys there. Good pay and benefits. Be prepared to work weekends and nights but that’s anywhere in this trade. Over all not bad

Its all about appearances and fear. They think keeping employees in a constant state of fear and anxiety is good business. They preach about company culture and how they want it to be great, but the truth is the culture is different in each and every department and its all driven by the boss you have. Most of them are so brow beaten and afraid of Mary Powell that they treat employees poorly because they are treated poorly. It all rolls down hill at GMP. They pay great, have great employees. The managment is whats making this place a horrific place to work. You cant shake the fear and anxiety and they dont want you too. They dont care about their employees at all. They will have you drive 2 hours away to demote you on a Friday, they just dont care about PEOPLE that have dedicated their lives to their organization. Its too bad Mary Powell is a micromanaging tyrant who has to control every aspect of this business, right down to the Italian tile in the mens bathroom or the color of paint in a storage shed. Its a stressful, rotten environment to have to work in. It used to be a company that cated about employees and each other. It used to be a family. Gas Metro needs to get involved and get rid of the narcissist they let get out of control and created.

Interned at GMP during the merger with CVPS in central Vermont. Management was awesome and the people are great. Utility cares about customers and is accepting of green initiatives.

Indeed insists we review companies we have not worked for in the recent past. It was a great place to work 17 years ago but the current company is not the same. Bought out and merged with another utility.
