Store-level is great, but corporate culture is strange. They do not value employees and very high turnover. Everyone is afraid of being let go for no reason...because it happens all the time! Probably done to save money. Don't waste your time.
The employees at the store are great. Can't say the same for corporate. They make a lot of promises that they do not keep, let a lot of people go for no reason. Avoid unless you need something short-term.
Depending on which store you're at, is what the culture and feel is like...DO NOT---under any circumstances work at the main store where the owners tend to be...the staff is STRESSED to the max-and you can just feel the false sense of smiles and "hello, how are you?"---its all forced, and everyone finger points so they don't lose their jobs. Thankfully I got transferred to another store with a great team, and a great boss...The owners are extremely greedy, which is fine since it is business after all....but the "we're all family and are treated like family" is a laughable unless you get invited to their new multi million dollar home...there are no 10 minute breaks which is odd for a company...30 minute lunch..This is just a stop on my way to bigger things, and my co-workers are good, decent people. Its sad that the owners don't reward or recognize that.
We are in the business of helping people get healthy and most of the staff really cares about that. I also feel like I learn amazing things almost every day.
Very tense....you wait for the next shoe to drop...revolving door of employees being constantly let go .
No chance of advancement, and very very rarely is there ever an increase in pay...as a last resort come here, but only as a last resort..most of the cashiers and floor staff are wonderful people, and help each other out.
The team members work well together. There is not the politics and cliques that I have seen in other workplaces.
