Pro bono is at the core of who we are as a firm. We are dedicated to leveraging our global platform to address injustice and bring equal access to justice to the underserved. Our dedicated attorneys work to address critical issues on local, national, and international arenas. GT’s Pro Bono Program addresses issues concerning human rights, gender/LGBTQI-based violence, civil rights, anti-trafficking, educational rights of children, criminal justice, immigration, & children’s rights, among others. Holly Skolnick Fellowship Foundation The firm provides funding through the Greenberg Traurig Holly Skolnick Fellowship Foundation to recent law school graduates pursuing a career in public interest. Our fellows have delivered critically needed legal services ranging from community development and disability rights to domestic violence and immigrant populations. Together, the sponsors, fellows, and host organizations ensure equal access to the justice system for society's most vulnerable individuals and communities.
Community Service Community involvement is a defining characteristic of GT. Associate Development We use creativity to educate – and ultimately empower. We strive to find new opportunities to encourage growth and provide our employees with the necessary learning and development resources. We provide new associates with high level training in client management, business development, and collaboration. Our blended approach to learning is designed to support associates to thrive in their work, their client relationships, and as part of our community. Our global platform provides our experienced attorneys with unique professional opportunities as they continue to grow their legal careers. GT attorneys receive guidance, support, and in-depth business development training needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive legal market. We encourage attorneys to develop relationships across practice areas and regions, bridging their career development with global business opportunities and initiatives. Professional Staff Development At Greenberg Traurig, we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our business environment. We strive to find new opportunities to encourage growth and provide our professional staff with the necessary learning and development resources. Role-based New Hire Learning Plans are provided to all new employees with the recommended learning resources to ease the transition into their role at GT. We support and provide ongoing career development for professional staff, helping them to navigate learning opportunities and grow into more skilled professionals. GT employees are given the resources required to gain the technical skills and professional knowledge necessary to excel in their roles locally and globally. Mentorship Our mentorship program helps build relationships within the firm, encouraging attorneys to develop the foundation for a successful career at GT. All associates at Greenberg Traurig receive the guidance, support and in-depth business development training they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive legal market. Our mentorship program is mutually beneficial to both our associates and the senior attorneys who guide them, helping to build relationships within the firm and ultimately strong industry leaders. In addition, we encourage attorneys to develop informal mentoring relationships across practice areas, as relationships of all kinds are the foundation of a successful career at GT.
