I worked the extra board for 10 yrs. until I was able to get a regular run, there is a two hour window which means you have two hours to report to your terminal and if you have a husband, wife, girl-boy friend or kids forget it. Spending time with family on birthdays or holidays forget it. Your entire life changes !

Hire professional dispatchers. Utilize workers in that area. And, give extra board drivers two consecutive days off a week at home (not traveling home, but, at home). People will bust their hind parts if they could see their family, have doctor appointments, pay Bill's, take care of home.
