Service Organization focused on employee and client satisfaction
Human Resource Generalist (Former Employee) – Yonkers, NY – March 20, 2013
GREYSTON has a very unique outlook on work/life balance. Because of this an employee did not feel pressured and strived to perform.
In my time there my typical day was never truly typical. My day could start with a routine phone call to check on the progress of data that I had requested from a division and segue into having to mediate a potential dispute between a manager and employee.
I learned a lot there as it was my first experience in a not-for-profit organization.
The hardest part of the job was in the recruiting process. A potential candidate had to be vetted not only by me but also the department manager, program manager and CEO. Any one of the former could give negative feedback which had to be carefully addressed and then reviewed by all concerned.
The most enjoyable part of the job was when an employee would call to say thanks for something which I considered to be just another of the the routines tasks.
