It's a high pressure sales job, you're trained to hard sell homeowners something even if they don't need it. You're assigned in home appointments up to 100 miles from your home and you're not allowed to qualify them before you go.
It's 100% commission and you pay all your expenses, including vehicle and phone/internet.
Forget about getting a "Sales Manager" or anyone else to help you, you're on your own, the sales manager is too busy reassigning all the bad leads that he and his favorites don't want to you and other new people
The way the pay structure is set up you've got to sell the homeowner overpriced products in order to try and make any money, if you don't mind ripping people off this is the job for you.
The company has extremely high turnover, and there's a reason for that
Can set your own hours, sort of
Forced to give free crawlspace "Inspections" for people that have no intention of buying from you.
I have worked here since 2004 starting off at the entry level position, moved to foreman pretty quickly within first year, became a production manager at year 3, moved to sales year 4, then sales manager after kids, recently took the job of General Manager in 2018. Groundworks has my 100% trust as they have backed us up with everything needed to be successful and invests all of its money back into the company to continue to grow.
