I feel miserable if only because I am not being stimulated, challenged, or paid enough. However, I don't let that reflect in the service I provide because I do love working security and want those I interact with to be happy.

I would listen to my officers' grievances, feedback, and advice. I would build mutual respect, understanding, and satisfaction. I would put myself in others' shoes and anticipate problems rather than aggravate or ignore them. Without my officers, my contracts don't exist because no one would be there to work the posts. Management might think themselves the engine, but the officers are the fuel. Rather than claiming I'm the best company to work for, I would show it.

You don't get holiday pay for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, even if you worked both. Likewise, you don't get holiday pay for both New Year's Day and New Year's Eve, even if you worked both. In general, you only get paid for select holidays and that's if payroll doesn't make an error.
