CAMP COUNSELOR (Former Employee) –  Idyllwild, CAFebruary 5, 2018
It was a wonderful group of individuals, but since you are a camp counselor the pay was terrible. The kids were great, the culture was great, the hours were often over 12hr days.... but it was a great experience.

Staff ? (Former Employee) –  cA. Coast line.January 30, 2018
I would stay away, send low life's here to serve time here as a sentence. No clean, safe, even suitable housing. Poorly ran. CEO only cares about making a buck. Guest not important factor. Staff is treated as human with no rights.

Camps are really rustic, sanitation and food safety and employee moral are not a concern! Wages for the job are very low! Company montra kids are paramount! I think you need to revisit that and make everyone paramount! Corporate offices on main land CEO and wife are out of touch!

Instructor/Counselor (Current Employee) –  Idyllwild, CASeptember 16, 2014
Good place to work to gain experience in the camp/ teaching lifestyle with opportunities to become part of the administration staff. I hold a position called the weekend administration where I was in charge of staff, the facility and customers for the weekend. I learned how to educate students, set up telescopes, research new improved ways of running the camp and how to interact with a close knit community.
Pros
low lifestyle expenses, fun learning envorionment
Cons
long days, hard to get away without own car
