It was a very easy laid back interview with the store manager and another associate. I discussed why I wasted to work there (part-time) and my future goals which flowed into me talking about my music knowledge. It is also retail so I also gave examples and talked about customer service and sales. I did tell them I was aware of the "bad rap" that guitar center has but that I had always had a positive experience as a customer in their store. The manager was well aware of the reputation and explained how he wanted the store and company presented to customers.
I applied on line, got a call the next day to set up an interview for tomorrow, interviewed -about 35 minutes and was called an hour later with an offer.
