A great place to work. You have awesome management support. The pay is fair with the chance to move up. The atmosphere is common with great team work.

A typical work day could be anywhere from 8 to 24 hours With 7 day work weeks. I worked for this company for over a year without an issue. During this time I was given very positive feedback in relation to my work ethic and was a trusted source for information in general wireline and crane operations. In most cases the operators were willing to learn as well as share their knowledge. There was a generally positive atmosphere amongst the operators. Unfortunately, two weeks prior to my termineation and 10 days after a change in management, I was written up for failing to answer my phone after my grandma had passed away. On the day leading to my termineation my truck was burglarized and my company laptop was stolen along with various personal artifacts. Immediately after discovering my truck had been burglarized I notified all proper management and authorities. After filling a police report I was summoned to the office and was fired. It was only after I had secured a position in a different district in Gyrodata, I was told I was not hireable because their reason for terminating me was listed as a no call no show. I then filed for unemployment and after short investigation confirming I was not at fault for my termination, I was allowed to collect unemployment benefits. This happened prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

accountability seems to become less and less within the company and promotions from within seem to be a thing of the past.... Typical not to have a lot of interaction with management team until it has already hit the fan, then they want to get involved. Get involved with the employees on the ground level and see what they are up against and improve the processes.

First off I’ve never felt so unwelcome starting a new job. It took about 2 days on the rig to figure out if you weren’t in the click or Hispanic your time would be limited working out of the Midland office, and that’s something I never experienced working with halliburton. Pay gaps were a big issue with some guys starting out 50 to a 100 dollars a day more with the same amount or less experience just because they knew the hiring coordinators. I’ve even seen DDs get run off of rigs for performance issues and replace performing DDs on other rigs to avoid sitting at home with no pay because they had homeboys in the office. Avoid working out of the West Texas Division at all cost unless you speak Spanish.
