No sweats including joggers, no shown under garments, no shown middrift or side. Shorts have to be at least three inches above the knee if not longer. No spaghetti straps and no brand names or logos on clothes. Shoes but have backs and on truck shift they must have closed toes as well. They provide you with a name tag and a lanyard that are to be worn while on the clock. H&M is a fast fashion company and encourage you to express yourself through your fashion and style.

If you have a group interview, be the first to answer questions and be the one that volunteers to speak. Research the company and its values. Most importantly: be yourself! Don't come to the interview dressed in dress pants or a suit, H&M's website even says not to! I wore a body dress with a cardigan to my first interview and then a pencil skirt with a kimono to my second one. Also, be prepared to answer "what would you do if ------" questions.
