If I were to leave it would be because of multifaceted reasons. Firstly, they have hospital week but they don’t budget any team building for the units, yet the “O” suites and upper management have ample opportunities to grow professionally. They won’t pay or help pay for conferences for the nurses who are doing actual patient care. Lastly, if you have a problem that is sensitive and reach out to HR they don’t keep it confidential. The place is so small everyone is friends with everyone. This makes it extremely hard if you’re an “outsider” who isn’t accepted by the group. Outside of these issues it’s run like a business, productivity is closely monitored, and it’s physician centered. To their defense it is a for-profit company.

This largely depends on what industry you come from. If you come from outside of healthcare, you will find many industries such as tech, financial services, and pharma you will find that healthcare providers pay less, but pay is just on factor of a job. That being said you would also find the culture of healthcare to be more cordial, more mission driven than in those industries. If you come from the healthcare space you would find that HCA is competitive.

The corporation does not respect the Patients as they put their beliefs on others. Corporate is 5 day Adventist and do not consider others.. bringing a Hitler style into hospitals is a shame.

Give employees bonuses like Management receives every January/February. Get rid of that 2% base raise(ridiculous). You need to care more about your employees than profit! New management with fresh ideas. Stop allowing Management to be clickish! Stop micromanaging.
