They do not listen to employees and have a good old boy way of moving employees into better paying positions. Work conditions are not bad, they do maintain a safe environment.
Pros
New hangar
Cons
good old boy network

An OK place to work. Like anywhere had it's problems
Aircraft Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Macon, GAOctober 18, 2017
Haeco Americas in Macon, Georgia was an OK place to work. It's problems were from management. They seemed to Micro-manage too much. Someone wanted to control everything. Sometimes it was their management, sometimes it was the customer's Reps (United). They should have left most decisions to the leads and supervisors on the floor. No matter what you did, you always had to worry about if you was following all the rules someone just "dreamed" up and that was constantly changing. The rules would change practically every time the reps changed.
Pros
Good steady work. Was stable most of the time
Cons
Expected to follow every whim any United rep had in mind.

Good place to get experience
Aircraft Structural Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Macon, GAAugust 29, 2017
Working at Haeco has taught me alot and all together made me a well rounded mechanic. I started at the company fresh out of sheet metal school and got lucky to work for a lead who actually took the time to show me how to do things. Not all leads at Haeco are like that and some just hand you your paperwork and let you go to work. Most of the more experinced mechanics are willing to show you the ropes.
Pros
Good Experience
Cons
Not alot of room for advancement

Fastpaced and heavy work load
A&P Mechanic (contractor) (Former Employee) –  Greensboro, NCJune 15, 2017
Good place to get heavy maintenace experience on Boeing 737-NG heavy maintenance, if you are on the Alaska airlines side. With such a heavy work load overtime turns from voluntary to mandatory very quickly. There is also a Cargo maintenance side to their operations.
Cons
Very limited scheduled time off.

My expeirence with Haeco
Aircraft Structural Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Lake City, FLMay 5, 2017
Haeco has been a wonderful place to work with great people although management from the leads end is poor I tend to wait a half hour or more into the shift to actually receive a work order. They have been preaching speed instead of quality. They also want safe practices but leads tend to want you to "expedite the proceess" but in doing this you need to skip steps which lead to accidents or rework.
Pros
Flexible, breaks, benefits
Cons
Leadership is lacking, time between planes

Too much controoooooool
A&P Mechanic (Former Employee) –  Macon, GAApril 27, 2017
They have many problems with the airlines, because they hire students with no experience and the company give them, responsibilities same as some one with experience.
Experience was fair, Haeco takes unnecessary steps regarding paperwork and wants to have to much control of every move that is made.
Before you take a direct job, be sure is more than $25, taxes in GA are high.
Pros
Co-workers are great
Cons
Management make your life harder

Great place to start.
A&P Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Greensboro, NCDecember 20, 2016
This company has sent me through training to become qualified to work on different airplanes and its a great place to get started in the industry. The working environment is very conductive to learning and the management has been known to go out of their way to help anyone out. Everyone I worked with was very friendly and helpful.
Pros
Very flexible schedule.
Cons
Advancement in pay.

The FAA needs to shut the place down
Former contract aircraft mechanic (Former Employee) –  Greensboro,NCJune 21, 2015
Hangar 3 is a dangerous place to work. Management that runs the place there have no business being in aviation maintenance. All they care about is getting the aircraft out on time regardless of FAA rules and regulations. They teach the new generation of A/P mechanics bad habits of cutting corners and skipping steps and act like the FAR's,maintenance manual compliance is just guide lines. It is like the blind leading the blind. When the customer inspectors and FAA inspectors come around managementt puts on a show of compliance and when the inspectors leave the place goes back to their shade tree standards. It shows disrepect to the mechanics, the customers, the FAA and the flying public. It scares me to even fly on airplanes anymore for what I have seen at this Greensboro,NC location. Makes me want to join the FAA and do something about it.
Pros
A job
Cons
Bad manegment, low pay, not enough certified mechanics, low standards.
