19 questions about working at Hallmark
Usually anywhere between 3-6. More if we are understaffed or it’s a holiday
Answered March 17, 2017
Flexible. You usually get the days you request off. HOWEVER, because of how flexible this job can be, people take advantage of it and you will be asked multiple times a month to take an extra shift to cover because someone didn’t give enough notice and the schedule was already made. I don’t blame them entirely though because schedules are sometimes made for two weeks in advance or three without warning. So sometimes two weeks warning for a request off isn’t enough.

Part time with flexibility. There are NO full time merchandiser positions. Even the supervisorory positions are considered part time.

How many hours do you work
Asked December 26, 2016
7-8 hours. With the downsizing of some stores the hours are reduced so why not divvy up stores when an RM quits? This would give seasoned employees more hours and not have to spend time or money training a new one.
Answered December 26, 2016
You can take a break or lunch whatever you like most of the time.
Answered June 3, 2017
You do have the flexibility to change your schedule during the week but if you have a tough boss like Shontise she will demand to a fixed schedule. She expects to know which store you're going to be at and at what time every week.
Answered September 10, 2016
None at the store level

What are the shift hours
Asked July 31, 2020
You set your own hours.
Answered July 31, 2020
Bathrooms in stores you service are disgusting, and they only let you use the public restrooms. Hallmark should make sure all stores they service have acceptable sanitized restrooms!
Answered June 9, 2020
Yes they are.
