I've worked at this company for many years, and have sadly seen no improvement in how it operates.
Upper Management works only for themselves and lie constantly about initiatives they put in place - EX. we'll give you any training you want. When you ask to take a class or learn something it's "not in the budget." Upper Management also holds themselves above being accountable for their own mistakes. Personal agendas at the VP and C level positions causes unnecessary financial strains and more service delivery issues due to wanting to "shake up" the status quo.
Sales Dept runs the company, and the rest of the employee's have to pick up the pieces instead of holding them liable for their constant mistakes.
Technical departments (Network engineering, Headend, NOC, TAC, etc.) are amazing departments by themselves, but are blamed for nearly EVERY problem the company has.
Customer facing departments are trained to be just barely able to sell their products, but have no real understanding of how it works. Also lack of good Customer Service locations causes friction with customers.
Field Staff work horrible hours but are some of the best people in the company - willing to work on anything they can to help get a customer working.
Unless you are ruthless and in Sales you won't get anywhere
