Not very long. And the usually paper work.

It took about two weeks to get hired at harps. I got hired to work in the deli, soon after that they moved me to help in the bakery. then the general merchandise manager asked me to transfer to his department and I picked up some extra hours and learned how to run the register.

It varies. They have to interview you first after you submit your application. Take a personality test. Then about 3 hours of orientation with a 40 hour training session.

It takes about one day after they call you for an interview. Once you get the interview and pass it, you then have a 2-3 hour orientation that you sit through. There is then paper work to fill out and you get shown around and put with an employer to train you.

It takes about a week. Really it all depends on your availability. You will have an interview as well as a tour of the store and some tests but none of them are hard.
