It is a circus without the cute animals. Management shows bias towards certain employees. Requests, ideas, and sensible suggestions are ignored. They company promotes ethic standars but if=gnores them regularly.
Account Manager in Springdale, AR

Unrealistic promises of compensation, issues with fulfillment along with threat of job security make it a tough place to work. There are good people here and it was a good learning experience.
Sales Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK

Took this job to grow their startup in OKC. Considering their customer base is a handful of Tier 3 accounts and 2 Tier 2 accounts, the management expected to hit goldmine in sales in 3 months. 90% of my time was spent on cold calling just to get a foot in the door and make introductions in the market. Management has absolutely novision and didn't appreciate my business development efforts what so ever. The most advantageous part of their offering was ability to package equipment with controls but they took no interest ion developing the controls side of business at all. Instead they focused on selling mechanical services which there is a ton of very established players to compete with first of all, secondly they were trying to go after competitors' strongholds instead of looking for customers using their line of equipment (I was shocked by that) . Overall it felt like there was no real strong strategy or decision making, just "me too" offering with desire to grow big fast. They couldn't pay me salary without their Napoleon growth ambitions, but masked letting me go with a charade, not even providing real feedback or closure. Overall very negative experience and wasted 4 month of my life. If I knew what I know now would never come work for this group.
Existing Building Account Manager in Springdale, AR

HEP is a family owned business. This resulted in little room for advancement, but job security was rarely an issue. A typical day included customer interaction, sales, estimating, complaint resolution, and project management.
