Staff Accountant (Current Employee) - Exeter, NH - March 2, 2022
Typical work day is 8:30 am - 5 pm. There are times that more hours are required but there is flexibility in time off and negotiated work schedule. Workplace culture is "Delight and Surprise" which makes for a positive environment. Fellow employees are wonderful which is great as so much time is spent working.
Pros
Free lunches, delight and surprise
Cons

Exemplary corporate leadership and ample support and resources.
General Manager (Current Employee) - Greenville, SC - February 28, 2022
Hay Creek Hotels values colleagues' contributions which lead to the overall success of the company. The company culture is alive and well and not only a tag line. Property and company goals are clear and the alignment amongst all staff is strong. Corporate leadership is very accesible and supportive. The property portfolio is outstanding with unique properties each having a sense of place. Not the "cookie cutter" approach as seen with other brands where only location is point of differentiation. Hay Creek properties are each unique in their own way and representing the location where they are. Highly recommend looking at Hay Creek Hotels if you are looking for what true hospitality is versus the big box, manuals only approach of most other groups out there.

Jobs at Hay Creek Hotels
Not a very good place to work
Server and Bartender (Former Employee) - Westerly, RI - February 1, 2018
This place was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. Work was boring and to boring. Management was lackluster and did not care about the employees at all. Pretty bad and cutthroat culture. If you were not part of the owners wife family you would get the worst shifts or even got let go so they could get better shifts. The hardest part of this job was going to work. The job was boring and they did not stimulate learning by the staff. Meet some good people, but not much about this job was enjoyable

Career Advancement
Manager (Current Employee) - Exeter, NH - December 15, 2017
I enjoy working for Hay Creek due to accelerated career advancement. They learn and understand what their employee's needs and goals are and strive to develop them internally. The corporate team is great to work with and are heavily involved in supporting property level managers. They offer a Professional Development Program for current employees and graduates, standard annual performance evaluations, full insurance benefit package for employees who work 30 or more hours on average, and PTO for those who average at least 35.
Pros
Complimentary daily meals, hotel and restaurant discounts, Pto, competitive salary, and career advancement

Awesome experience
Backserver and Event Staff (Former Employee) - Chebeague Island, ME - August 4, 2015
Was awesome to go out to Chebeague Island to work, was an entire new group of people, and the staff was great. Not only did I work for them on a regular basis with lunches and dinners, but I also worked their wedding events and that was a plus on its own.
