Small Company with Mid Size Company Growing Pains
Current Employee (Current Employee) – Tampa, FL – June 26, 2017
Healthe is growing and is bringing on new business at a steady rate, but sometimes it feels like the company is moving too fast and, as a result, is tripping over its own feet.
The work is challenging and really encourages you to learn new skills, especially in the technology space. Technology, after all, is what makes this company work in the first place. But be prepared to do a lot of digging on your own and often times discovering one problem or question leads to five others - and you find that these problems have been lingering for a long time and have been put on the back burner by current or past employees.
Compensation is fair, although the lack of an incentive comp structure is kind of a downer. Time off is decent but when you consider that vacation time and sick time all come out of one bank, it really isn't that great. Company 401k match is below average.
One big negative for me was the company's outlook on working from home. Many people within the organization, managers included, believe that working from home should be encouraged, but I have always gotten the impression that it is frowned upon by senior leaders. Come on. Its a tech company. Let us use tech to work more efficiently when needed and promote work/life balance!
Company small enough to make changes quickly. Challenging work.
Difficult to see advancement opportunities, 401k and time off benefits are poor.
