I would hire a person that definitely understands the medical logistics field and the requirements of a good supply chains management systems. I would incorporate a system that’s built on great internal and external partnerships, i would be Examine the current processes in place, recommend Six Sigma and Lean processes for improvement of modifications. I would implement a sound training program and educate new and existing employees on logistics and supply Chan operations. Lastly, i would make the pay commensurate to other Supply Chain field to retain experience and knowledge of how organizations on the medical field operate when it comes to logistics and supply chains functions. Hospitals will save millions of dollars when we reduce waste, form partnerships with the right vendors and foster the importance of logistics.

The HCA name has attracted some smart and dynamic people that have been at the company for years. But with more larger companies making Nashville their home the HCA name is losing its attractiveness that it had years ago.

To be honest this job was the biggest mistake of my career. I will say not to applied. It’s was way more stressful for little pay.

1100 Charlotte/500 Building - Employee hours vary. Some teams work 8+ hours in office and then work remote at night and weekends. As a current employee we are 'encouraged' to complete tasks in order to support other teams that have minimal office hours.
