Not a bad company to work for. The issues that plague this location will continue as long as current leadership is allowed to run unchecked.

I have worked at Healthways for almost two years, and although I love the staff I work with, the administration is terrible. There is absolutely no accountability, communication, or chain of command. The CEO makes all of the decisions, and is barely in the office. There is no hierarchy, so she is the only one allowed to make any type of decision. The agency is stuck in the past, and refuses to keep up with times. Additionally, the pay is not great, and the benefits could be better. If you are an individual that wants to continue to learn and thrive, this is not the agency for you.

As a RN Healthways was the one of the worse experiences I ever had. When I told my RN friends I got a Got at Healthways, they tried to warn me and said DO NOT WORK FOR HELLWAYS!!!!!!!Management was more micro management, and very pettyI left that position with Gods help!!!

They hire in as “part time” but there is no such thing. No one works under 40 hours a week and only a chosen few get the benefits as a full time employee. Training is a joke, they throw you to the wolves. There is zero chance of advancing role wise or pay wise. The person who just starts the job makes exactly the same as the person who has been there for 10 years. They don’t appreciate their employees. If they’re short staffed, they’ll schedule you at least 6 days a week. If you are authorized to pass medications, you better plan on not having a day off. It’s nothing but a big joke. They say they’re all for the clients, but they’re all for doing the bare minimum and working the direct care staff to death just so they can remain open and make money.
Case Manager in Weirton, WV

I was very excited about this job when I was offered the position of Case Manager. At first it seemed as though this job would be an amazing opportunity for myself however, the Supervisor for this specific section is completely out of line on multiple issues. You are also severely underpaid for the amount of work you are expected to do. Supervisor does not respect boundaries at all excepts employees to work there lives away also excepts employees to do things they are not comfortable with. Supervisor cannot except a “no” from employees. Supervisor is stuck in believing things are still done in a way they were in the 1980’s. I was basically thrown into this job with the most basic amount of training possible. The clients we work with are severely neglected and I honestly feel bad for them. There is also a lot of drama between staff amongst Supervisor. Supervisor does not perform the job well at all and in my opinion is beyond the time in this industry. Healthways inc. loses a lot of hard working employees due to this Supervisor. I know of a lot of individuals who have only left this job because of said Supervisor.
