You earn plenty of time off then are given grief for using it. What’s the point when you have to do double the work upon return?
The PRN's make more money then the salaried nurses. If you are a CM and your smart you give a quarter of your case load to the PRN and then you will not work so much. Management is so clear removed from the day to day they never even notice.
Long and not compensated adequately for that.

Awful hours! If you are friends with the admin you can get better hours. The worse the other nurses are the more you have to do. So you end up resenting it. They catch an attitude and they assign you even MORE work. I had 16 patients of 30 with 3 nurses. I did 6 out of 9 admits. I had the patients that had the wounds, daily visits, were actively dying and were on pain pumps. Seem even? Nope!
Too long. Never knew when I'd be off. Frequently have to work till 8pm. I was on call a week at a time every other week.
