Hospice Nurse Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Mount Pleasant, TXAugust 7, 2019
Everyone here is like a family, everyone helps each other when they can and it is a true definition of TEAM at the MP location, && boss makes it that much better he always has your back and best interest for the team and patients. The patients are amazingly taken care of, top of the line CNA’s && nurses, as well as office staff.

Look Somewhere Else
Staff (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MIAugust 4, 2019
Terrible communication between upper, middle management and staff, especially those staff in the field. Asking questions and getting any answers at all is frustrating and next to impossible. Important information that should be communicated is not communicated and staff is left to fend for themselves when dealing with clients, facilities, families. Never experienced such a poorly organized and arrogant set of administrators. This hospice company wants to excel with higher numbers and bigger profits at the expense of patient care and a burned-out team. Constantly hearing about quality nurses and support staff looking for other employment. Lots of turnover at this company. No accountability at all from management. Nurses are expected to be on call 24/7 if one of their patients dies or has an urgent need because management drags their feet on hiring more nursing personnel. Many nights a nurse IS NOT on call so everyone else has to be ready to go regardless of any personal plans. Isn't that illegal?? Not having a scheduled RN on call? The most enjoyable part of the job is a close connection with patients and families, and the satisfaction that my contributions during their suffering and pain is of some comfort.

Terrible management.
RN Case Manager (Current Employee) –  TexasJuly 30, 2019
Will work you like a dog. You are just a number to them. A warm body in a spot. They love to talk behind your back, not to you. You either kiss butt, or you don’t have a job. Micro manage like crazy

the consumers were great
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) –  Vineland, NJJuly 26, 2019
while working there the consumers were great but it was the management, they treat the employees as if they are dogs and they do not want to pay them to do the job that they are doing.

If u love to drive and be unappreciated this the job for you
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 20, 2019
Aides and Nurses are over worked, office staff very unprofessional and don't appreciate you. Pay is not good as a aide only get a 3% raise after a year unless you work like a slave for them then they will give u a dollar also they tell you its a raise after 90 days a lie its a year.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
Low pay and too much traveling

RN. Case Manager
Hospice Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Bingham Farms, MIJuly 8, 2019
Stressful work environment , long work hours uncompensated, mandated to be on call due to short staff in one day notice, on call consist of working after hours after a long work day without notice, pay is disrespectful to an RN with experience 70k equal $33 per hour. Pay dates twice a month 10th and 25th. Executive Director over clinical staff has no clinical background or education has lead to at least 5 seasoned nurses quitting that have been with the company at least five years

In my job there is lot of confusion. No set guidelines, no set requirements, it changes between managers. The environment and front line staff are great. Upper management needs to be more involved

Current patients take a back seat. More concerned with getting the next patient
Case Manager RN (Current Employee) –  Mount Pleasant, TXJune 19, 2019
Company will work it's employees with no regard to family time, or personal time. Management is lazy and pushes work to employees beneath them in roles. No attempt to help only bark orders.
Pros
Work at own pace
Cons
Management is a get there fill first organization, lazy and noncaring about employees or patients, always about the next patient.

Great place to work! Fast paced. Just do your job and take care of patients! Provide the service that is required in hospice, and it is a wonderful place to be employed.

Heart to Heart provided a caring and compassionate atmosphere in which to work. Management was fair and reasonable with all employees.

Caring for the needs of patients, coupled with the affirming work environment, made for a great place to work.

Poor Management/Advancement Opportunities
Liaison/Marketer (Current Employee) –  Sherman, TXMay 13, 2019
This company has poor leaders in management, who only care about themselves and what benefits them. They are not interested in having everyone work as a TEAM, instead, only focus on those individuals who retrieve referrals (even if they are the wrong way) and suck up to management. Even with complaints from different facilities, they still allow the same reps to go into those accounts!! Then, once they have established accounts/referrals from the individuals that ARE doing their jobs, they get rid of those individuals, AFTER they have put in all of the hard work for the company.

Run, Don’t Walk
RN Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Bingham Farms, MIMay 12, 2019
Case loads are extremely heavy. Not enough nurses. Poor communication skills. Just not a great place to work. Nurses get burnt out fast and everyone’s complaining who does case managing. A typical day is making routine visits, and being dumped with admissions or more visits. No work life balance. I almost forgot I had kids.

Hands down the best place I’ve ever worked. Great from the top down!
Community Education Representative (Current Employee) –  Cypress, TXApril 29, 2019
Seriously the best management and team I’ve ever worked for/with! Everything we do is because we love to take care of people during a vulnerable and hard time. What’s not to love about that? Management is so supportive, flexible, compassionate, and they truly care! We have a family here at Heart to Heart Hospice! I don’t ever plan on leaving.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Marion, INApril 1, 2019
Heart to heart hospice i would never recommend anyone to work there. Poor managements , lack of communication, and you drive all over the county to see your patients. Don’t get paid enough to deal with what you have to do.
