After 4 years of employment I can say it was by far the most difficult job I've ever had. Management in HHC do not have proper training and can be severely over bearing. From the perspective of a residential instructor I was overwhelmed with being in a classroom with numerous amounts of children. The material used a chalkboard and chalk. There is s lack of everything. You may enter work that day and be s youth care worker, or serve lunch, or change diapers. The children's ages ranged from 2-17. You never knew what group you would receive or from what country. So imagine being in a lockdown facility with participants at different ages, levels, languages and being told now figure it out. Exhausting, overwhelming, and a lack of support at best. Quick staff turn over. And the meetings ever month that last 2 plus hrs that begin once your shift is over is just enough to make you hate this place. Trust me pay is great, if you plan on living with your parents for a life time!!!
