Administrative Assistant/Ward Clerk/CNA (Former Employee) – Marion, IL – March 29, 2018
atmosphere between staff was comfortable and professional. Pay was not that good, strict on policies. It was a for profit organization running it so we were understaffed and overworked in some departments.
House Supervisor (Current Employee) – Marion, IL – January 27, 2018
I work recommended working at heartland regional medical center. I feel that it is a quick-paced environment but people are willing to work together. I have worked there my entire nursing carreer and would not be leaving if they had a job advancement that suited my needs.
Charge Nurse (Current Employee) – Marion, IL – November 16, 2017
This place has been my home since I started in lab in 2009. I left a couple times briefly, but it always called me back. I would recommend working here. Midnights just doesn’t fit for my family anymore.
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) – Saint Joseph, MO – October 30, 2017
When I was a new nurse, I watched experienced nurses get fired over miniscule things. I was told that would be me one day. After 20 years, I was treated the same. When you hear "shortage of nurses", that means the new/low on the pay scale nurses. A lot of high paid chiefs...could use a few more indians.
Beautiful facility, in general, the physicians are well qualified and work with the nurses.

CENTRAL SCHEDULER (Former Employee) – Marion, IL – April 12, 2017
This position was very stressful. We were handling at least 60-80 calls a day for scheduling outpatient services and minor procedures. Management would always say the patient was always right. I myself was told that a physician's office called and complained about me, I was not allowed to know which practice it was or what the complaint was.
Patient Access Representative (Current Employee) – Marion, IL – April 4, 2017
Working at Heartland Regional Medical Center has opened a lot of doors to opportunity. From exposure to different kinds of jobs to learning basic medical practices. The knowledge gained and relationships built make working here more than just a job.
